3rd party used ultraviewer to update garmin gps, and more in scam. The support agent had him install. I received a call yesterday on my cell, the person claimed to be calling fro amazon security in ohio, he said they noticed estranged activity in my account.

Good day, late last year my father was trying to update his garmin gps and he selected the wrong site which sent him to a support agent. On 11/24/20 i was trying to update a garmin hand held gps and selected the wrong garmin site that ended up directing me to an on line agent that requested i call a 800 support. Malwarebytes was removed by that. Hi guys, as a free alternative to teamviewer, the vietnam based ultraviewer has been around for few years now.
To my recollecton, in the early phase personal use was free. By currahee1 march 17, 2022 in resolved malware removal logs I was able to reinstall my premium malwarebytes but scan did not find it. I'm not sure what virus i have i'm pretty sure it's a trojan.
From what i can tell this virus has modified windows system files so it wont be detected.
